Fix System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied.

While trying to run some commands in the command prompt, users have experienced a message – “System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied.” popping up. This error is really easy to fix and to fix it follow the steps mentioned below.

Generally, a Command Prompt is launched from the Start menu itself, but some run commands need administrator privileges, System error 5 has occurred error here shows up when the command is run without the admin privileges. Thus we should run the command prompt as administrator when running these commands. To do so:

For Windows 7 users:

1.  Find and right-click Command Prompt.
Then choose Run as administrator.

2. Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.

For Windows 10/8/8.1 users:

1. Press Windows key + X key together to open quick-access menu.
Then find and click Command Prompt(Admin).

2. Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
