Refers to the big group of individuals in the United States produced between 1946 and 1964 and considered by some folks as similar to a form of public bulge in a python due to the large numbers of arrivals that happened during those years. As the baby boomers continue to age into the 21st century, its members and many other folks are concerned about the health care, retirement, home, and other needs this group will present to themselves as well as to society.

As of this writing, baby boomers are increasingly accountable as family caregivers to their parents and other aging relatives.
