A polygon is a 2-Dimensional plane figure which is made up of straight lines. A polygon is always a closed figure. The word “Polygon” comes from Greek, where poly means many and gon means angle.

Types of Polygon
Regular Polygon – A polygon with all the sides and angles equal is a regular polygon.
Irregular Polygon – A polygon in which none of the sides and angles are equal.
Concave Polygon – If any of the internal angle of a polygon is greater than 180⁰ than it is a concave polygon.
Convex Polygon – In a convex polygon none of the angle is greater than 180⁰ that means it has no angle pointing inwards.
Simple Polygon – It has one boundary and does not cross over itself.
Complex Polygon – A complex polygon intersects with itself.
Different Types of Polygon
Polygon is generally named after the numbers of sides, n-sides.
