Removing an object from a collection is known as subtraction. Just like addition subtraction is also a basic arithmetic operation which is used in day to day life.
Example: To remove3 bananas from total number of 4 bananas.
4 – 3 = 1
Only one banana is left after removing 3 from 4 bananas.
(-) is the sign of subtraction.
